Full Technical Program Posted for Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium

Dr. Rainer Kurz teaching in front of a projector screen with attendees of ATPS 2018 watching/listening. An attendee of ATPS 2018 reviewing his notes.

The full technical program is now available for the Turbomachinery Laboratory’s third biennial Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium (ATPS) and short courses, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ATPS is an international assembly for turbomachinery and pump end-users and manufacturers. It is sponsored by PETRONAS, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, along with support from the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau and our global partners.

ATPS promotes professional development, technology transfer, peer networking and information exchange among industry professionals. It features a renowned technical program that is hand-selected by an advisory committee of engineers, and an international exhibition.

TECHNICAL PROGRAM:

ATPS 2020 will be held 7-9 April 2020 at the KLCC, with several full-day short courses offered on Monday, 6 April. All courses are now available for viewing in our online technical program. Paid delegates benefit from international and regional subject matter experts sharing successful machinery project and asset management practices through tutorials, lectures, case studies, technical briefs and discussion groups. Panel sessions will address current challenges in attracting talent and managing digital technologies.

What makes ATPS unique is the effort made by the advisory committee in making sure that the quality of the papers and lectures being presented are of the highest standard, and meet the needs of both the end users and vendors that attend.

Imran Haris, ExxonMobil

EXHIBITION:

The exhibition showcases products and support technologies from leading rotating machinery original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Full-size equipment, technology and emerging industry trends will be on display. Public entrance to the exhibit hall will be free to the public upon completion of a free pass registration form online or at the KLCC.  For information on visiting the exhibit hall, visit atps.tamu.edu/register/#free-pass. For information on becoming an exhibitor, visit atps.tamu.edu/exhibition.

For exhibiting companies, exposing their products to decision makers in developing regions of Asia is a long-term return on an inexpensive investment.

Chris Wolford, Altra Motion
