Convince My Boss

If you need a little help convincing your boss or supervisor that attending the Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium would be beneficial to you and your company, we have a letter template prepared to help explain why ATPS is a worthy investment.

[Dear / Hi (insert your Boss’s name)],

You may remember me mentioning this before [in the office / over lunch / at the company party last quarter]: I would like to attend the Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Spring 2020. ATPS, administered by the Texas A&M Turbomachinery Laboratory , offers continuing education opportunities and features an exhibit hall with an array of companies, including [view list of exhibiting companies here and insert companies that will be the most influential in convincing your boss], which means I’ll be learning directly from top rotating equipment professionals in the business.

I’ll have the opportunity to engage in a combination of technical sessions led by industry experts from around the world. These sessions directly address maintenance, performance, troubleshooting, operation, and reliability issues for rotating equipment. With so many learning possibilities, this is a perfect chance for me to better my skills so I can [save more time on reliability projects / come up with new approaches / share best practices that the company can use / do more with increasing MTBR]. There is also an exhibit hall with more than 30 companies displaying the latest services and full-sized equipment where I can [meet with vendors/meet with clients/scout potential equipment purchases/build our company’s professional network].

As a symposium delegate, I will get the entire Symposium Proceedings [that I can bring back to share with everyone]. If you would like to see the list of symposium lectures, tutorials, case studies, discussion groups, short courses, instructors and exhibiting companies, please visit the event website at atps.tamu.edu.

[Thanks for your time; I hope to discuss this with you soon].

Sincerely,
[Insert Your Name]
