11 May 2023 – Greg Gammon
The Texas A&M Turbomachinery Laboratory (Turbo Lab) announces support from the Malaysia Ministry of Human Resources for 2024 Asia Turbomachinery and Pump Symposium.
The Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDCorp) operating under the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia has given official support to the 2024 Asia Turbomachinery and Pump Symposium (ATPS) as a Claimable Training for Malaysian companies.
HRDCorp has given a special one-off permission for ATPS to be a claimable training under their “Skim Bantuan Latihan” (SBL) programme that is designed to assist employers in retraining and upskilling their employees, in line with their operational and business requirements. This approval has been approved for this training subsidy based on the reputation of the ATPS technical program and its industry advisory committee members from major industries who assure a world-class program.
The SBL program allows Malaysian companies to reclaim MYR 1350 (approximately USD 300) per person, per day of registration fees to attend ATPS. Under this program, registered employers can apply for the training grant through the e-TRiS system by selecting “Non-Registered Training Provider Details – Oversea.” More information will be provided as we move closer to the conference.
“We are extremely happy with the decision from HRDCorp to be an official supporter of ATPS,” says Greg Gammon, Director of Global and Corporate Partnerships at the Turbo Lab. “This support will allow companies from any industry in Malaysia to send their employees to ATPS as a claimable training that can cover up to 100% of the cost of attendance. Not only is this a great opportunity for Malaysia’s industry growth and human capital support, but it also will be a good boost for overall attendance at ATPS 2024. We expect this to be a breakout year as we look for rapid growth of this important symposium.”
ATPS 2024 will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 14 – 16 May 2024. Short courses will be held 13 May 2024. TEES Turbomachinery Laboratory is currently soliciting papers for the technical program with a deadline for submission of 12 June 2023. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
