Registration Now Open for the Sixth Biennial Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia

Registration is now open for the 2026 Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia (ATPS). Since 2016, ATPS continues to provide a forum for valuable knowledge exchange among rotating equipment professionals. Modeled after its long-standing sister symposia (the Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia), ATPS brings the latest academic and technological developments shaping the future of rotating equipment to the Asia Pacific region through its world-class technical program and exhibit hall. The prior event hosted 40 exhibitor companies and welcomed over 1,600 attendees from 31 countries, with 60% of them responsible for making purchase decisions, and 27% of those influencing annual purchases of over one million.

The symposia will be held 19-21 May, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is hosted by the TEES Turbomachinery Laboratory, a center of TEES and a member within the Texas A&M University System.

TECHNICAL PROGRAM

ATPS’s technical program is hand-selected by an advisory committee comprised of global industry experts who dedicate their time to bringing attendees worthwhile and innovative content. Content focus includes drivers, drives, driven equipment, and their ancillary systems and controls. The sessions are designed to assist the region in addressing its ongoing growth in the oil and gas industry, and other energy sectors. Attendees will learn and acquire skills that can be applied immediately to their daily applications. The technical program is made up of tutorials, case studies, lectures, discussion groups, and short courses. Such sessions include but are not limited to:

Short Course | Lateral and Torsional Rotordynamics of Machinery

Lecture | Investigation of Sub-Synchronous Vibrations in Multi-Stage Compressors: A Comprehensive Fault Tree Analysis

Tutorial | Achieving Today’s Sustainability Goals Utilizing Technology Developed Thirty Years Ago: Gas Seals for Process Pumps

Case Study | Enhancing Reliability and Cost Efficiency through Laser Weld Technology in Rotating Equipment Repair

Discussion Group | Turbomachinery Bearings and Annular Seals

Panel Session | The Users Voice: Aligning Technology and R&D Priorities with Operational Reality and Industry | Moderated by Christer Bjorkqvist of ETN Global

ATPS technical sessions are HRDCorp claimable, which allows registered employers under the Kumpulan Wang Pembangunan Sumber Manusia (KWPSM) to apply for a training grant and save significantly on delegate registration fees. A preview of the 2026 program can be found here.

EXHIBITION

ATPS boasts a diverse exhibit floor and includes leading OEMs and service providers from around the world. ATPS is a unique opportunity for companies to connect directly with their target audience and stay in the know regarding competitors in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.

Exhibiting companies may also benefit from supplemental sponsorship opportunities, where your company logo will be included in relevant event signage, additional listings in our show guide, and other digital materials. Sponsorships provide a prime opportunity for your business to enhance its global recognition.

Exhibitors will receive the following: 3mx3m booth space; 1 EXH badge, 1 EAO badge; lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday; immediate access to proceedings; and the post-event attendee list.

UNIVERSITY COUNCIL | OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDENT DEVELOPMENT

The ATPS University Council consists of prominent professors and universities from across the Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern regions. The Council aims to develop additional program activities for students and academics, which include: student poster sessions that encourage students at various points in their education to present on relevant topics for academic recognition and prizes; and a panel session focused on Career Relations and Development.

The Turbomachinery Laboratory continues its mission in the Asia Pacific to broaden its impact on continuing education and workforce development worldwide. These efforts are enhanced through the support of this year’s sponsors: Bumi Wangsa TMS (Gold Sponsor), Ebara Elliott Energy, ExxonMobil and Shinkawa Electric (Silver Sponsors), Neuman & Esser, Deleum and Solar Turbines (Bronze Sponsors); and strategic partners: MOGSC, MPRC, HRDCorp, ETN Global, KRMEA, IEM, Talent Corp, and IMechE. Join us to experience an exceptional technical program, develop your skills, and connect with industry leaders this May.
